Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Cell & Protein Engineering Summer 2025 Co-op, located in Spring House, PA.
Transcription/translation of GOI is influenced by many intrinsic proteins and regulatory elements in cell lines. It might be possible to modulate these controlling elements without enforcing metabolic engineering. To overcome transcriptional bottlenecks in antibody expression, we plan to implement an advanced gene regulation system in mammalian cell lines. This system, either constitutive or inducible, intends to precisely control the transcription of recombinant antibody expression cassettes, leveraging cutting-edge technology. This new technology will potentially allow for improving titers and critical quality attributes of antibodies in manufacturing CHO cell without targeted metabolic engineering and host cell line optimization.
