We are searching for the best talent for an Associate Scientist I.

Purpose: This role will focus on CAR screening and lead selection (CSLS) to support the development of CAR-T cell therapies.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the field of CAR-T cell therapy and work alongside a team of passionate scientists advancing cutting-edge treatments targeting hematological and solid tumors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the culture and expansion of primary T cells, as well as the generation of CAR-T cells via viral transduction techniques
  • Support the development and optimization of high- and medium-throughput CAR-T cell manufacturing workflows
  • Perform flow cytometry-based experiments for cellular characterization and analysis
  • Perform Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) assays and analysis of vector copy numbers (VCN) of CAR T cells
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot basic automation systems utilized in cell therapy processes
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges encountered during laboratory procedures to ensure smooth workflow
  • Analyze experimental data using software tools such as GraphPad PRISM, FlowJo, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive experimental records in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) to ensure reproducibility and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to refine protocols, enhance process efficiency, and achieve project milestones
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and laboratory guidelines while performing experiments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of laboratory experience (industry experience is preferred).
  • Or a Master’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field with at least a year of laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Pipetting (single and multi-channel pipettes), aseptic cell culture, cell banking, with a strong preference for experience working with primary immune cells.
  • Experience with multicolor Flow Cytometry is required.
  • Experience with ddPCR and VCN assays is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in BSL2 and BSL2+ labs; familiarity with viral transduction techniques is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to automation technologies used in laboratory workflows is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with data analysis tools and software, such as GraphPad PRISM, FlowJo, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to succeed in a collaborative team setting.
  • Motivated, and ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Availability to work on-site in Spring House, PA, during standard business hours.
