About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a nationally ranked and recognized not-for-profit healthcare system, for a Registered Nurse (Night Shift).
With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, you will use the nursing process to address the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of a diverse patient population. You will develop individualized nursing plans of care in partnership with patients and their designated care partners, ensuring treatments are consistent with their clinical priorities, cultural beliefs, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient-Centered Care: Integrate Evidence-Based Practice and clinical expertise to deliver optimal, compassionate healthcare.
Education & Advocacy: Partner with patients and families to identify learning priorities. Provide clear, affirming education on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge plans.
Quality & Safety: Utilize healthcare technology to communicate, manage data, mitigate errors, and support ethical decision-making. Monitor care outcomes to continuously improve patient safety.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Function effectively within inter-professional teams, fostering open communication and shared decision-making. Appropriately and respectfully delegate tasks to team members.
Leadership & Growth: Create an inclusive environment, demonstrate conflict resolution skills, and act as a primary preceptor to appropriate staff members. Participate in hospital safety and quality improvement committees.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Specialized Diploma required). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion of BSN within 3 years of hire is strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
Skills: Exceptional clinical judgment, cultural awareness, and communication skills. Proficiency in health information documentation (EHR/EMR).
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required in the state of practice (PA or NJ).
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification via the American Heart Association (AHA).
