About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a nationally ranked and recognized not-for-profit healthcare system in the Philadelphia region. They are seeking a Full-Time RN Clinical Nurse Educator to champion their mission of improving patient lives.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and competency programs. Your primary focus will be on the educational development of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), with occasional educational support provided to professional nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development: Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education, Clinical Directors, Nurse Managers, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to design and execute robust competency and education programs for PCTs.
Clinical Resource: Serve as a clinical expert to PCTs and professional nursing staff. Integrate and maintain high standards of care, collaborating with nursing leadership to develop unit-based clinical competencies.
Patient-Centric Approach: Provide educational frameworks that support care for diverse age populations (ranging from young adults to the frail elderly), demonstrating a deep understanding of the functional and developmental needs of the individuals served.
Adaptability: Manage multiple responsibilities, work independently, and adapt to rotating shifts as required by departmental educational needs.
Required Qualifications:
Licensure: Active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Pennsylvania.
Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association (AHA).
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting required (care of the adult patient is strongly preferred).
Skills: Demonstrated competency in the teaching/learning process, organizational operations, and computer literacy. Expert clinical, communication, and instructional skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) strongly preferred.
Relevant Specialty Certifications.
