JOB TITLE: Event Planning Intern (Winter / Fall 2026)LOCATIONGY Properties, [Philadelphia, PA] on-siteTYPE: For-Credit InternshipELIGIBILITY: Junior & Senior Students Only POSITION SUMMARY As an Event Planning Intern at GY Properties, you will play a key role in curating engaging resident events, assisting with corporate gatherings, and supporting resident-led clubs. This position is ideal for someone passionate about event coordination, community engagement, and hospitality. You will gain hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and executing events that enhance resident experience and corporate culture. This internship is unpaid and is for Fall semester course credit, with a 20-hour/week requirement. The candidate will report to the Philadelphia office. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Resident Event Curation: Plan and execute engaging community events that foster connection among residents, such as themed socials, wellness activities, and networking gatherings. Corporate Event Assistance: Support the planning and logistics of internal corporate events, including team-building activities, celebrations, and meetings. Resident-Led Clubs: Assist in organizing and promoting resident-led clubs and activities, ensuring they align with community interests and company values. Vendor Coordination: Research, communicate with, and coordinate vendors for event needs such as catering, entertainment, and decor. Event Promotion: Work with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to maximize event attendance and engagement. Budget Tracking: Assist in managing event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution. Logistical Support: Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Current Enrollment: Must be a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure seamless event execution. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and team members. Creativity & Initiative: Ability to generate fresh ideas for engaging events and take initiative in executing them. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Canva or event management software is a plus. Availability: Must be available to work 20 hours per week in-person in Philadelphia, PA. HOURS: Part-time opportunity: 20h/week WORK LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA 19123. Fully in-person role.
