General Carbide Corporation is hiring a Sales Manager in Greensburg, PA. This is a full-time position.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Sales Manager provides leadership, direction, and oversight for sales and customer service activities within assigned market segments. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that support annual sales revenue objectives, strengthen customer relationships, expand market opportunities, and contribute to the organizations long-term growth. The position provides direction to Sales and Customer Service personnel, including Sales Engineers and the Inside Sales Department, while working closely with management and other departments to support customer requirements and organizational objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & Management Provide leadership and direction to Sales and Customer Service personnel and oversee the daily activities of the Inside Sales Department.Establish departmental priorities, monitor performance, and ensure responsibilities are completed effectively.Ensure employees follow established procedures, quality requirements, company policies, and applicable safety and environmental requirements.Participate in staff meetings and organizational initiatives as requested. Sales Strategy & Market Development Develop, implement, and refine sales strategies to support long-term growth.Manage sales activity within assigned market segments and identify opportunities for new customers, applications, products, and markets.Maintain knowledge of market conditions, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive activity.Monitor market penetration and identify opportunities to expand existing segments and develop new business.Provide management with information and recommendations regarding sales opportunities, market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs. Forecasting, Budgeting & Performance Assist in developing and maintaining the annual sales forecast and establishing appropriate sales objectives.Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, quotations, new business opportunities, and progress toward revenue goals.Monitor departmental expenditures and provide recommendations regarding spending priorities. Customer & Account Management Coordinate with the Vice President and Sales Representatives on customer visits, account strategies, and significant opportunities.Meet with customers to understand their needs, resolve concerns, identify opportunities, and strengthen business relationships.Travel to customer locations as needed to support customer relationships, business development, and customer satisfaction. Pricing, Quotations & Sales Operations Develop and monitor pricing strategies for assigned market segments while supporting competitiveness and organizational profitability.Review pricing for significant, strategic, or trial orders and provide recommendations as appropriate.Oversee quotations, estimating, order entry, and related customer service activities.Monitor quote turnaround and follow-up activity to support new business development.Work with Sales Engineers, Inside Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure technical and customer requirements are properly addressed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments to address customer requirements and business opportunities.Collaborate on new product development and improvements to existing products and processes.Provide customer and market perspective during product and process improvement initiatives.Work with internal departments to address issues affecting customer satisfaction, quality, delivery, cost, and sales performance. Management & Organizational Support Maintain regular communication with the Vice President regarding sales activity, customer relationships, market conditions, opportunities, and departmental performance.Provide information and recommendations regarding significant customer issues, sales opportunities, and operational concerns.Work with management and other departments to support organizational goals and objectives.Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Vice President. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising sales personnel.Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.Ability to understand technical products, applications, and customer requirements.Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience Experience within powder metal, steel, or other manufacturing environments.Familiarity with technical, engineered, or metallurgical products.Experience working with OEMs and industrial customers.Experience with sales forecasting, pricing, quoting, and business development.
