Description:

If you are a Project Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has a great opening for you! Based in our Cranberry Township, PA location, you will be an Engineering Project Manager a part of our Renewable Solutions group who provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants and hydro.

The group focuses on the replacement of mechanical systems and provides all project management, engineering design, test, installation and commissioning services to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers. The successful candidate will be an essential contributor with responsibilities for project execution, contract compliance, customer satisfaction and financial return for projects in areas such as mechanical and electrical for Turbine projects.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Plan, forecast, and manage project budget and execution from start to finish, working with technical leads and/or group managers, including vital activities, procurements, resources and schedule.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Use contract terms and conditions, and various skills to improve scope as well as cashflow, margin, and to limit liabilities.
  • Minimize exposure to risk, and make necessary recommendations to management on assigned projects.
  • Apply quality procedures and standard methodologies by using appropriate gate reviews. Participate in project audits as needed.
  • Work with the sales team, and follow up with the clients to build relationships that lead to future opportunities.
  • Recommend improvement to products and process.
Who You Are:

You understand internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Includes up to 20% travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification
  • Masters of Business Administration MBA
  • Turbine scope retrofit involvement experience
  • Automation controls on systems experience (DCS systems, other competitors)
  • EPC scope and site management experience (Power plants is a plus)
