Job Summary: The Team Lead position will provide direct leadership and oversight to both the people and processes during their assigned shift. They will act in direct support with the shift supervisor, and will compliment the supervisor in monitoring safety, quality, delivery, cost and people. This position will have primary focus on "Shop Floor Execution, " they will help with general direction, job assignments, routine troubleshooting, materials management, hourly production and quality monitoring and shop floor organization. This role will also help to coordinate cross shift and cross functional topics to assure a smooth transition from shift to shift.

Provide basic direction and feedback to the assigned department employees. Duties may include:
- Ensure safety and report any incidents
- Ensure the timely completion of OJT checklists for all employees
- Inspect/Monitor production of work ensuring materials and finished goods meet established quality standards
- Shift employees as necessary to meet production schedules
- Inform supervisor if a problems which cannot be resolved
- Inform supervisor of any rule violations
- Report to Department/Shift Supervisor after every shift
- Monitor employee transactions in ERP
- Solve problems and support lean initiatives to improve throughput
- Be active in 6S throughout the department

Ensure all materials are issued properly and returned to inventory properly; offloads polymer truck; leaves next shift set-up for success.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: - High School Diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred; 1+ year of direct experience on the Laminator required
- 12 months forklift/bucket truck experience required
- Must be familiar with machinery, equipment and production processes for assigned areas
- Must be able to coordinate people and equipment to meet production goals
- Must be able to recognize potential problems and work toward solutions
- Ability to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties
- English fluency (read, write, speak) necessary to understand, apply and communicate information; strong communication skills required (written/verbal)
- Computer literacy (inventory data entry/adjustments, read work orders, email, etc.)
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees while possessing demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Must have basic knowledge of all safety and HR policies
- Must be safety-conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
- Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
Work Environment:

- Manufacturing Environment: This position may operate in a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment) . The position is required to wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.
