David Mason & Associates, Inc is hiring a Civil Staff Engineer - Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time position.

David Mason + Associates has provided high quality Civil Engineering services since 1989. Our team of professionals prepare design plans for new construction and renovation projects in education, healthcare & utility market sectors, among others. As a newer branch of DMA, we have quickly established strong relationships with the top clients and businesses within the Philadelphia/tri-state region. We're proud to produce quality designs for many of the higher education institutes, developers and local community organizations in the region including projects such as the new Veterinarian School at Rowan University, Barracks Hotel at the Navy Yard, Kelly Hall at Drexel University, new Life Sciences buildings at the Bellwether District & Barrett Recreation Center. Our Philadelphia Civil team is looking for an entry-level Staff Engineer who is ready to jump in and support the team. Our ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, has 2+ years of related engineering experience, including internships & has successfully passed the FE Exam. Why work with David Mason + Associates? Essential Duties: Prepares engineering plans utilizing AutoCAD/Revit or similar design platforms.Assists in production of final construction drawings, details, and specificationsPrepares reports and calculations based on assigned project(s) including assessments, analysis, opinions of cost and other key componentsAssists project managers as requested.Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.May perform site investigations and inspections in the field during and post construction.Attends client and public meetings as neededParticipates in and conducts research on local regulations based on project location(s)Participate in business development efforts as requested.Provide technical oversight for the DepartmentProvide directions to Project Managers and senior project staff to ascertain coordination, completeness, and accuracy of critical technical requirementsDemonstrate the potential or ability to lead technical efforts as part of the overall design processFollow and abide by the DMA employee and safety manualsCompletes other duties as assigned
