Position Summary
Plan and lead the identification, development, and implementation of technology-enabled, data-driven solutions that improve operational performance, safety, cost efficiency, and sustainability across the company operations. Focus on transforming operational, maintenance, and production data into actionable continuous improvement initiatives. This position acts as a bridge between Operations, Engineering, IT, OT, and senior leadership to ensure that data and technology initiatives and investments deliver measurable value.
Core Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage dashboards, KPI’s, and reporting systems for production, equipment, quality, and performance
- Lead the enterprise-wide strategy for operations data collection, integration, visualization, and analytics
- Translate complex operational data into actionable insights and initiatives that drive productivity, reliability, safety, and cost improvements
- Ensure data quality, governance, and standardization across the company platform
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities using data analysis and performance trends and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Track performance improvements, quantify benefits, and ensure initiatives deliver sustained value
- Evaluate and implement new technologies such as advanced analytics, AI, automation, and digital mining solutions
- Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, consultants, and internal IT/OT teams to deploy solutions effectively
- Work closely with mine operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure technology solutions are practical and embraced
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership teams
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
- 8-12+ years of experience in mining or related operations
- Experience and strong understanding of coal mining operations including production, maintenance, processing, continuous miner development, and longwall mining preferred
- Experience leading data analytics, digital transformation, or continuous improvement projects preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel
- Experience with data analytics, visualization, and reporting software such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, etc.
- Willingness and ability to travel to CORE Resources operations as needed
- Position is in-office or on location (Not Remote)
