Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Processing payroll for Coherent's weekly payroll population.
  • Act as a backup for other US Payroll team members in support of recurring payroll tasks.
  • Work with ADP Added Value Services to ensure timely and accurate back-end payroll processes. Such as Tax Deposits and Filings, Garnishment processing and net payments.
  • Support Coherent's employees and Human Resources Business Partners as a subject matter expert in payroll. Including inquiries related to pay, deductions and taxes.
  • Audit and reconcile payroll results to validate the accuracy of each payroll period and investigate any anomalies.
  • Enter variable data needed for payroll processing and review the accuracy of employee related master data passed from Coherent's HR system of record.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3 yr. experience processing payroll for a large multi-state payroll.
  • High School Diploma required.

Skills
  • Experience with an in-house payroll system, preferably SAP Payroll.
  • Very good organizational and communications skills required.
  • Experience producing and analyzing reports, particularly using Excel.

Working Conditions
  • Works in a hybrid office environment, with the ability to work from home when not working on-site. Routinely uses computer and attends virtual meetings. Will have access to sensitive and confidential information and will exercise discretion when dealing with this type of data. Will work with deadlines and multiple tasks simultaneously. At times, will have a large volume of emails to review and respond to. Works independently with general supervision.
