Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• The candidate will work with and do task for other engineers in the department.
• The person will help with engineering projects for the coating department

Education & Experience

2 - 4 years of course work completed from an accredited university in an Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics-based field.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills required.
• Statistics and data analysis ability will be needed.
• Programming experience a plus.
• Ability to learn to use unfamiliar equipment quickly and accurately.
• Inquisitive mind.
• Forward thinker.
• Team-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication, both verbal and nonverbal.

Working Conditions

• Office and clean room environment within manufacturing facility
• Must be able to work with acids, radioactive materials and other toxic chemicals

Physical Requirements

• Not physically demanding position.
• Must be able to perform similar task as a coating operator

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
