JOB DESCRIPTION RELATIONSHIPS AND SCOPE: The
Senior Analyst, Treasury Accounting will report to the Manager, Treasury Accounting and is a pivotal team member of the Treasury Accounting unit. This position is responsible for supporting the Treasury Accounting monthly and quarterly close processes, preparing Chubb's global debt planning and forecasting, and supporting various functions throughout the Treasury organization including preparing internal reporting packages. Critical factors to success include accountability for quality and timeliness of deliverables, the ability to work effectively across all levels at Chubb, strong analytical and attention to detail skillsets, and a willingness/desire to learn and develop in a dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform miscellaneous accounting functions for various business units, including preparing interfaces between Chubb's treasury management system and general ledger system as well as general ledger account reconciliations in compliance with Chubb's corporate and external audit policies
- Responsible for the timely and accurate setup of static data in Quantum
- Support the global intercompany settlement process
- Assess Chubb's global cash positions and recommended general ledger adjustments to drive compliance with GAAP and local regulatory guidelines
- Perform monthly variance reports and coordinate with Corporate Accounting on questions/issues
- Support the annual and monthly debt forecast and analysis
- Support the restricted cash analysis for Chubb's largest segment, North America
- Prepare relevant portions of internal reporting packages (cash, short-term investments, debt, interest expense) used by the consolidation group for disclosure in the Chubb's 10Q and 10K
- Respond to ad hoc requests from Treasury, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, and External Audit
- Assist on special projects that routinely arise
