The Business Development Team Leader position is primarily remote in nature and will focus on telephonic sales responsibilities assigned to a Chubb-aligned geographic territory as well as oversight of a team of individual Business Development Managers. The role will report to the Vice President of Business Development.

Job Summary:
  • Lead a team of newly hired Business Development Associates across multiple regions in a manner that delivers superior sales results, capitalizes on geography-specific opportunities, & develops individual sales contributors
  • Responsible for the execution of telephonic business development strategies for an assigned group of agents across a defined territory.
  • Build & execute upon a strategy to attract new distribution sources to territory.
  • Develop One Chubb approach to facilitate growth across all business segments and products, with specific emphasis on Small Business, Lower Middle Market, and Financial Lines segments.
  • Consistently deliver superior results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage and maintain focus on achieving metrics across KPIs, including quotes, issued policies, line and industry mix, and profit.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of assigned marketplace, Chubb capabilities within that marketplace, and corporate vision.
  • Oversee all sales functions for assigned team, identify trends within the team's territories to maximize business opportunities, and proactively lead a team that delivers superior results.
  • Create sales scripts, establish pre-calling planning and post-call follow up routines, train team members on basics of inventory and territory management.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of leadership experience, including hiring, training, and development of sales teams.
  • Proven sales experience in a high-performing sales culture and organization.
  • 4- year college degree preferred; professional designations such as CIC and CPCU a plus.
  • Negotiation, Relationship Building, & Influence skills.
  • Advanced understanding of Commercial Lines products and underwriting strategies.
  • Microsoft products (Dynamics, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, OneNote).
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities.
  • Inclusive leadership that brings out the best in self and others.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals through others.
The pay range for the role is $90, 000 to $129, 000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
