Description:
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Recreation Therapy Supervisor, responsible for providing patients who have a substance abuse and or dependence diagnosis or other co-occurring diagnosis a safe holistic, organized yoga, reiki, and exercise program.
Essential Job Functions: - Lead patients through organized group yoga and exercises classes and/or reiki services.
- Instructs patients on safe, effective exercise to promote well-being and healthy lifestyle.
- Visually assess patients to determine their level of ability.
- Assist patients to achieve precise alignment.
- Demonstrate practice and techniques.
- Transform energy during the warm-up, build-up, and cool-down stages.
- Motivate patients with words of encouragement.
- Connect with patients during yoga classes through fun, intelligent sequencing.
- Utilize pool facilities to provide organized water aerobics.
Knowledge, Education, & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.
- Current Yoga or Exercise Instructor certification preferred.
- Certification in Reiki, preferred.
- Demonstrates familiarity and experience with yoga and exercise techniques.
- Has knowledge of, and experience in, the facilitation of group exercise programs.
Employment Status: Full time
Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday
Work Location: Scotrun, PA
Compensation Range: $21-23 hourly
