Overview:

As a Program Specialist in the Day Program, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with disabilities by coordinating services, implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards. You will work closely with team members, families, and external agencies to ensure that each individual's needs and goals are met in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to person-centered care.

What You’ll Have:

- A master’s degree and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, or
- A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities, or
- An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours and 4 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
- Knowledge of ISP processes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to obtain required clearances and complete 24 hours of annual in-service training.

A Typical Day May Include:

- Coordinating and implementing ISPs and ensuring services align with individual needs.
- Monitoring and evaluating services and staff performance.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing and contractual standards.
- Preparing for and participating in licensing inspections and reviews.
- Documenting individual progress and maintaining accurate records in CareLogic.
- Providing training and technical assistance to staff.
- Participating in team meetings and coordinating care with external agencies.
- Responding to incidents and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Supporting individuals during hospital visits and emergency situations.
- Reviewing and updating ISPs and ensuring staff are trained accordingly.
