Barber National Institute is hiring!

Description:

Join the Barber National Institute for Connections Camp! Staff are responsible for general oversight and supervision of therapeutic activities, creating an environment that aligns with the mission statement and therapeutic goals of camp, and providing a safe, fun, and productive daily atmosphere for the entire camp experience. Camp activities include classroom instruction, field trips, arts and crafts, and games.

The camp runs Monday through Friday, 9: 00a.m. – 3: 00p.m. from July 19th – July 25th.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides therapeutic interventions for all campers individually and in a group, based on the goals and objectives outlined in the individual treatment plans.
  • Implements and monitors the effectiveness of the treatment plan.
  • Assists camp staff with the implementation of behavior techniques.
  • Attends camp field trips to help monitor the safety of campers.
  • Assists in the training of staff on proper data tracking, record keeping and documentation.
  • Analyzes and interprets data used to monitor the behavioral progress of campers.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in a Mental Health Field
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required.
