Job Description

Ardurra Group LLC, a division of Ardurra Group, Inc. is hiring a Civil Project Engineer (Engineer IV) in Allentown, PA. This is a full-time position.

RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeing a Civil Project Engineer (Engineer IV) to join our team in our Lehigh Valley (Allentown) office.

Our civil engineers, urban planners, and staff scientists work together daily to plan and create sustainable human environments by offering comprehensive land development services ranging from due diligence and master planning to design and construction administration.

The Civil Project Engineer will play an important role in leading and delivering high-quality site design, planning and permitting, and oversight of construction for a variety of clients. The projects will encompass a wide range of land and community development initiatives.

Primary Function:

The Civil Project Engineer will be responsible for partnering with Project Managers and Project Engineers as well as other professionals to support Land Development engineering design projects that include, but are not limited to, mixed-use developments, healthcare, retail centers, residential, industrial, and high-profile development projects within the Lehigh Valley region.

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborate with junior staff and project leaders, take ownership of design challenges, refine technical approach, and drive successful projects
  • Perform all aspects of site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting, and ensuring design quality, constructability, and compliance
  • Complete NPDES Permitting Documents and prepare E& SPC and PCSM Plans
  • Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans
  • Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software
  • Prepare stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and other reports required for Land Development permitting and approvals
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Research code requirements and perform site feasibility analyses
  • Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance
  • Conduct construction inspection, observation, and site visits as needed
  • Prepare and submit land development plans to county and municipal authorities for land development permitting and review

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • PE license preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in land development, including expertise in zoning analysis, land planning, grading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to function efficiently within a project team environment and independently
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a small, collaborative, growth-oriented organization
  • Ability to organize and manage own workload and meet schedule deadlines
