In this role, you will safely and efficiently perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and mechanical installations throughout our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, routine inspections, and scheduled preventive maintenance across all plant equipment using sound maintenance practices.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install industrial mechanical systems within a cement plant or heavy industrial facility.

  • Operate hand tools, specialized diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery to perform quality repairs.

  • Execute basic metal cutting, welding, and fabrication tasks for equipment repair.

  • Operate mobile support equipment, including Bobcats, Condors, and Forklifts.

  • Conduct proactive physical inspections, document maintenance findings, and promptly report potential safety or environmental concerns to management.

  • Complete required work orders, daily maintenance logs, and regulatory paperwork accurately.

  • Maintain high standards of plant housekeeping and clean job sites upon task completion.

  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a proactive culture of workplace safety.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational trade training.

  • Experience & Technical Skills: Practical experience conducting mechanical maintenance and equipment repair in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment (cement plant background preferred).

  • Operational Capabilities: Ability to perform basic welding and metal cutting, operate standard machine shop equipment, and safely operate mobile power equipment (Forklift, Bobcat, Condor).

  • Problem Solving & Communication: Solid analytical troubleshooting skills and clear communication skills when interacting with co-workers, contractors, and supervisors.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Physical capacity to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding maintenance tasks for extended periods in variable climate/temperature extremes.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated catwalks, and operate safely in restricted work areas.

  • Availability and willingness to work overtime or shift rotations as required.
