CAMECA is seeking an
ANALYTICAL ROAD WARRIOR.... Someone who works to make IMPACTS and does not work to just complete tasks.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for customer service activities. The Field Service Engineer will represent CAMECA/AMETEK and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service. They also provide technical support related to the application and use of our high-tech instruments.
The ideal candidate will live in the western region of the US (Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, California).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing technical support for the instrument such as preventive maintenance visits and rapid response to problems in the field.
- Provide customers with technical support remotely.
- Performs installation of CAMECA systems
- Travel to customer sites and perform installation, commissioning and training on all products.
- Promote our products and services offered to our customers.
- Develop and maintain positive relations between the customer and the organization.
- Use and update the administrative management tools made available (generate service and expense reports)
- Respect the safety rules at customer sites.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Chemistry is required (Military electronics training and/or years of experience maybe considered in place of degree).
- Familiar with the following: High voltage, Channel plates, Ultra high vacuum systems, Spectrometers, Lasers, Pneumatic valves, High pressure gas bottles.
- Experience working on semiconductor processing tools
- Fluent in English.
- Good sense of initiative.
- Autonomous.
- Efficient, rigorous, organized, reliable, delivers quality work on time.
- Ability to work well together in a multidisciplinary team (R& D, Industrial, Production), when needed.
