About the Role

The Geological Modeling & Mineral Leases Management Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new mining areas, managing replenishment reserves, and overseeing geological modeling activities. This role requires a Mine Engineer with specialization in Geostatistics, recognized as a "Competent or Qualified Person" under 43-101 code or JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee). The manager will work closely with ANM (Agência Nacional de Mineração) and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective management of mining rights.

You will achieve this by:

  • Identify and develop new mining areas, ensuring sustainable and efficient resource extraction.

  • Manage replenishment reserves to maintain and enhance resource availability.

  • Oversee geological modeling activities, ensuring accurate and reliable resource estimation.

  • Collaborate closely with ANM (Agência Nacional de Mineração) to ensure compliance with regulations and effective management of mining rights.

  • Provide technical guidance and support in geostatistical analysis and geological modeling.

  • Ensure the integration of best practices in geological modeling and resource management.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of geological modeling and mineral leases management projects.

  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the team.

What you can bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; specialization in Geostatistics preferred.

  • Experience in due diligence and M& A (Mergers and Acquisitions – essential);

  • Experience in large mining companies;

  • Strong knowledge in mineral block model management.

  • Familiarity with ANM (National Mining Agency) processes.

  • Experience in geological modeling and mineral leases management.

  • Recognized as a "Competent Person" under National Instrument 43-101 (Joint Ore Reserves Committee).

  • Strong knowledge of geological modeling techniques, resource estimation, and mining rights management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for geological modeling and resource management.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.

  • Travel to Pará as required (40%+ of the time) to oversee and support field activities.
