We are looking for a skilled cloud engineer with proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions. This role will focus on building intelligent applications, integrating AI capabilities into business processes, leveraging cloud-native tools to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions, and establishing governance frameworks for Generative AI (GenAI) resources in Azure to ensure responsible usage, compliance, and effective lifecycle management.
About the Role:
Work collaboratively with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to facilitate the seamless integration and advancement of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies leveraging Azure AI solutions.
Develop and enforce governance frameworks to monitor usage, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the security and integrity of Azure AI implementations.
Provision, manage, and update Azure resources in full compliance with current and emerging organizational policies.
Design, engineer, and implement Azure-based solutions based on business requirements and best practices.
Assess cost-effectiveness of cloud options and oversee budgets, licenses, and sustainability.
Provide internal consultation to application leaders and business stakeholders.
Maintain and update existing cloud deployments and deliver operational support.
Work with development teams on PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS strategies, system integration, and modernization efforts.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployments and configuration management.
Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and managing the lifecycle of cloud solutions.
Ensure compliance with IT standards including ISO 27001, change control, and disaster recovery processes.
Support process improvements and align technical strategies with IT leadership.
Prepare technical documentation for deployments, procedures, and governance standards.
What you can bring to this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience designing and deploying solutions in a cloud computing environment.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in IT systems management
Experience with AI technologies in cloud environments.
Ability to work independently in managing and implementing cloud-related projects, as well as supporting initiatives led by others.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with infrastructure, application, and support processes.
Knowledge of cost optimization and cloud governance frameworks.
Strong understanding of cloud security, authentication, and compliance practices.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS).
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining open and clear communication with employees, contractors, managers, third parties, and customers as necessary.
Experience in vendor relationship management to support Alcoa’s requirements.
Knowledge in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
