Our ventures include a ~$2.3B property portfolio and hotel management, just to name a few. Once you’re in, there’s no limits on where your career could take you.

Role Overview

At LyLo Queenstown, the Venue Supervisor is the heartbeat of the guest experience, the host, the connector, and the one bringing the entire space to life each day. As the sole operator of the venue, you own the vibe from start to finish, creating an environment where guests feel welcome, relaxed and ready to connect.

This role is all about people. You’ll move effortlessly between running the venue and hosting the experience, sparking conversations, introducing travellers, and creating moments that turn strangers into friends. Whether you’re hosting a quiz night, guiding guests through our self serve bar, organising a wellness session or simply setting the tone for the room, you’re the energy that guests remember long after they leave.

While you’ll keep the fundamentals of the venue running smoothly, your real focus is creating experiences that feel effortless, social and fun. You’ll bring ideas to life, build a sense of community, and create a space where guests can choose to lie low or live it up, all with you at the centre as the ultimate Daymaker and social butterfly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring service, compliance and presentation are consistently high
  • Be the face of the venue – hosting, connecting and creating unforgettable guest experiences
  • Create and execute a calendar of activities and events — from quiz nights to wellness and social experiences
  • Drive a strong social atmosphere, connecting guests from all walks of life.
  • Manage and monitor performance across costs and daily revenue
  • Oversee beverage and vending offering to ensure quality and consistency
  • Own the ambience — music, lighting, energy, cleanliness and overall guest experience
  • Work across reception and communal spaces to build early guest relationships before the venue opens
  • Use systems and POS effectively to keep operations running smoothly
  • Ensure WHS, compliance and venue standards are always maintained

What You’ll Bring

  • A current Duty Manager’s Certificate
  • Proven experience in running or leading a hospitality venue
  • A natural host — confident engaging guests, leading events and building connections
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage operations, people and performance
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and drive results
  • A creative mindset with ideas to enhance guest experience beyond the bar
  • A hands-on, “jump in and make it happen” attitude

How You Work

  • Daymaker ethos — no one’s too big for the small things
  • Inclusive and social — you create connection and community
  • Owner’s mindset — you take full responsibility for the venue and its performance
  • Resilient and solutions-focused — you stay calm and keep things moving

Perks from Day One

As part of EVT, you unlock Elevate Perks from your first day. Parity for all levels - no ivory towers.

  • 50% off dining and stays across EVT hotels – QT, Rydges, Atura, LyLo and more
  • $2 movie tickets + discounts on Gold Class, Moonlight Cinema and Candy Bar
  • Daily barista coffee and on site perks
  • Rapid career growth across our hotel & entertainment network
  • Paid parental leave; community & volunteering opportunities
  • Evenings back – with shifts finishing by 9: 30pm, get your nights back while doing what you love
