Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, our team is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate home for residents. We're seeking a
Medication Technician (Med Tech) who is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent care. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting resident health and well-being by ensuring medications are administered accurately and respectfully.
What You'll Do- Safely prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Verify resident identity before administering medications and accurately document any refusals, reactions, or errors.
- Assist with vital signs monitoring and promptly report changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and reports related to medication administration.
- Follow all safety, labeling, and documentation procedures for medications, including discontinued or transferred prescriptions.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and pharmacists.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance programs to support resident care.
What We're Looking For- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience as a medication tech in an assisted living community
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative care team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
- Commitment to confidentiality and resident dignity.
