About the RoleWe are looking for a dependable and team-oriented
Dietary Aide to support our kitchen and dining services in a warm, resident-centered assisted living community. This role is essential in helping us provide safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals for our residents while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities- Set up meal trays and assist with meal service
- Clear and strip returned trays and operate the dishwasher
- Monitor and record dishwasher water temperature and chlorine levels
- Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including:
- Washing dishes and cleaning work surfaces
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning refrigerators
- Taking out trash and garbage
- Safely store groceries and supplies
- Assist cooks and dietary supervisors as needed
- Leave the kitchen clean, sanitary, and well-organized at the end of each shift
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training
- Work cooperatively with team members across all departments
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn food service routines quickly
- Ability to read and follow recipes and technical procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Basic math skills (fractions, measurements, ratios)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate
Physical Requirements- Frequent standing and walking
- Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
- Ability to see clearly (near and far), hear, and communicate effectively
Work Environment- Indoor kitchen and dining environment
- Noise level is generally low to moderate
