About the Role Serenity Lane is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to provide medical care to patients receiving outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment. Under the direction of the Medical Director and/or designee, the PA provides comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and patient-centered recovery. This role is ideal for a clinically confident provider interested in combining primary care and addiction medicine while supporting individuals with substance use, medical, and co-occurring behavioral health needs. What You'll Do * Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for SUD patients. * Assess medical needs, withdrawal symptoms, level of care, and treatment appropriateness. * Manage and monitor medications, including medication-assisted treatment and opioid treatment protocols. * Evaluate and manage co-occurring medical conditions, chronic pain, and behavioral health concerns. * Review laboratory and diagnostic results and coordinate appropriate follow-up or referrals. * Determine when emergency or higher-level medical care is appropriate. * Collaborate with physicians, nurses, counselors, behavioral health providers, and other members of the treatment team. * Provide medical consultation to Admissions and other Serenity Lane programs as needed. * Participate in high-risk assessments, treatment planning, case reviews, and clinical staffings. * Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, medications, substance use, recovery, and wellness. * Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable professional, regulatory, and organizational requirements. * Maintain current knowledge and competency in Addiction Medicine and complete required continuing education and training. * Participate in meetings, quality improvement activities, staff education, and other organizational initiatives as assigned. What We're Looking For * Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program, required. * Current, unrestricted Oregon Physician Assistant license, required. * Current NCCPA certification, as applicable, required. * Current DEA registration and prescribing credentials, required. * Current BLS certification, required. * Valid driver's license, required. * Clinical experience providing medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination, required. * Knowledge and competency in family practice, internal medicine, and/or addiction medicine, required. * Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team, required. * Experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorder treatment, withdrawal management, or behavioral health, preferred. * Experience treating patients with co-occurring medical, psychiatric, and substance use conditions, preferred. * Experience with medication-assisted treatment and withdrawal management, preferred. * Three or more years of clinical experience, preferred. * Prior Nurse Practitioner experience, a plus. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (Serenity Lane is a Cannabis THC-free workplace) What We Offer * Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance * 401k Retirement Plan * Education Assistance * Paid Time Off & Sick Pay * Wellness Programs *?
