Job Description
Roseburg Forest Products Co. is hiring a Team Coordinator (Production Supervisor) in Coquille, OR. This is a full-time position.
Purpose To lead operations team members and activities related to the manufacturing processes during the designated operating shift or specific areas of the plant that supports corporate business objectives and ensures compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards, policies and regulations. Key Responsibilities Ensure safety of all employees working in operating unit or department by driving continuous improvement towards a true safety culture; including supporting all corporate safety programs; developing SOPs, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rulesEnsure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) during the designated operating shiftFollow and support manufacturing or departmental activities of the site business plan with minimal guidance, deploy and communicate goals, objectives and performance measures related to area of responsibilityLead team members within a mill department or shiftResponsible for training, performance management and communication of work schedules and daily work assignments; including duties from staff and self-development, coaching, counseling on performance feedback, up to initiating and assisting with corrective actionAssist and participate with hiring, interviewing, selection and orientation processPrepare detailed reports and maintain records and documentation according to guidelines in a timely and accurate mannerDrives specific process improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement projects, as directedOther duties as assignedModels company core values Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentTwo (2) or more years of manufacturing work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this positionUnderstanding of and ability to interpret and apply HR, Safety and Environmental policies and proceduresMust be flexible with schedule and be self-motivatedPC operation and experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)Ability to coach and lead a diverse workforceAbility to communicate effectively with reports, senior management, and other departmentsExcellent verbal, listening, and written communication skillsAbility to work in and maintain a highly functional team environmentExcellent interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Associates' degree in Business, Manufacturing, Production or related field
