Ophthalmic Medical Scribe Overview: Retina Northwest's Ophthalmic Medical Scribes are responsible for working alongside our physicians utilizing clinical knowledge to enter patient information into an electronic health record (NextGen) and transcribe physicians medical decision-making in real time. Scribes assist in the care, treatment, and education of ophthalmology patients. They will cross train as ophthalmic technicians to learn how to room patients, obtain medical history, prep for injections, assist with laser treatments, and perform OCT imaging.
