Description:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is a vital member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide physical therapy services to residents of our skilled nursing facility.

This is a FT position.

Wage: $35-$40 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and electrical stimulation.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and other mobility activities.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.

• Evaluation:
  • Assist the physical therapist in conducting initial evaluations and reassessments.
  • Collect and record patient data, such as range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.

• Treatment Planning:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Modify treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes.

• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, Medicare, and state licensing boards.

• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in the state of Oregon

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
