- Bachelor's Degree related field or equivalent in combination of education and experience
- Any experience in import/export activity or combination of relevant education and experience
- Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment
- Ability to understand Customs and transportation of product on a global scale
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
- Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired
- Any experience participating on project teams
- Any experience with Supply Chain Logistics
- Any experience with customs compliance and other government agencies
- Customs Broker License- Communicate Kroger expectations and terms to service providers, suppliers and vendors for direct import shipments
- Audit and distribute direct import purchase orders
- Facilitate daily operations of Global Logistics team for fulfillment of direct import purchase orders
- Distribute appropriate communication to associates through written correspondence, email, and telephone
- Oversee various aspects of Customs compliance including vendor/buyer correspondence
- Coordinate inland deliveries with multiple Kroger distribution centers and dray carriers
- Support integration of new technology into Global Logistics processes
- Process bank payments to direct import vendors
- Assist in booking and tracking of global shipments
- Work closely with the Corporate Logistics and compliance teams to deliver outstanding service and support the programs and initiatives that drive our company's business objectives
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
