As the
Director, Resource & Educator Development, you'll lead the team responsible for bringing education content to life through the creation of all teacher-facing professional development and other educational materials and resources for educators across all KinderCare Learning Center brands.
In this role, you'll be a key member of the Education Leadership team and work collaboratively within the larger Education & Government Affairs team. This role represents Education across other departments including human resources, marketing, procurement, and operations as we develop and implement high-quality, impactful learning experiences and materials for all educators of children birth to age 12.
Requirements: - Strategic, team-oriented leader, responsible for the vision and implementation of educator development initiatives and creation of educational resources and tools.
- Generate innovative ideas and solutions based on data, industry best-practices, and field needs to inform the need for new educational resources, tools, and materials.
- Support the development of program budget, providing budgetary oversight of projects and initiatives.
- Serve as an ambassador and senior leader for the team; representing the work as a surrogate of the Vice President of Education in cross-functional meetings corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams across HR, Education Operations, Field Operations, Quality, and Marketing teams (among others) to ensure alignment and seamless implementation of all education programs, products, and initiatives.
- Serve as a deputy and senior advisor to the VP of Education Programs; reporting on timelines and results.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and innovative thinking for self and team. This includes staying abreast of state, federal, and industry changes that impact programs.
Qualifications: - Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a directly related field. Doctorate preferred.
- Expertise in professional development in the early childhood industry, as well as a broad understanding of curriculum, assessment, research, and evaluation.
- Proven leadership and project management experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience presenting to large and/or varied audiences.
- Ability to complete projects from concept to implementation, with flexibility and responsiveness to timelines.
- Dedication to, and understanding of, the varied needs, ages, abilities, and backgrounds of the children and families we serve.
- Growth mindset with the ability to accept feedback and pursue personal and professional goals.
