Position Description

Under the direction of the Regional General Manager, you will be a key contributor to the success of Kinder Morgan Terminals, PNW Region. This role will be located at our Portland Bulk Terminal 4 facility, Port of Portland. This is a dry bulk export facility managing a union workforce from the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). This position will require a TWIC in order to work at the facility. Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement EHS procedures at site that comply with industry standards, company policies and federal and municipal regulations;
- Educate and train employees at site on workplace EHS;
- Identify workplace hazards, investigate incidents and near misses;
- Retain and manage consulting services for required environmental assessments and sampling;
- Participate in internal and external EHS audits;
- Facilitate emergency response exercises;
- Provide support in updating EHS plans and programs for facilities;
- Complete required internal and external reporting for site and region;
- Administer and oversee the Safety, Quality and Environment program for the PNW region;
- Organize the monthly update of the Corporate Scorecard
- Complete critical task analysis and serious incident evaluation of our Terminals;
- Submit Field Request Data tracker tickets for the Region; and
- Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, third parties and government representatives.

Position Requirements
- Over 3 years relevant EHS experience;
- Strong understanding of municipal and federal regulations/acts;
- Experience working with Portland/Oregon regulations;
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to think and act independently, critically and analytically;
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral;
- Works well in a team and collaborative environment;
- Exemplary support and organization skills with ability to work effectively within tight deadlines; and
- Solid research skills.

Pay range: $113, 700-$170, 600. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
