We are seeking an Oven Operator to join our hard working and fast-paced team. You will assist in a variety of positions or tasks with the production of a variety of bread products. All work will be performed in accordance with SQF Food Safety procedures. Job tasks may change from day to day depending upon production needs.

Ability to:
Required
• Perform in a friendly, courteous, tactful way and maintain composure in dealing with coworkers.
• Visually inspect products.
• Stand for long periods of time, walk, move rapidly, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Operate bakery utensils, ovens and machinery with manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and safety.
• Handle bakery ingredients and products from raw to ready to eat.
• Perform basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiple) and compute weights and measures.
• Perform duties with mental alertness involving potential hazards with respect to baking
procedures, equipment, and work aides.
• Perform around equipment and product emitting heat (approximately 400 degrees).
• Learn safety and sanitation procedures and department policies.
• Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy.
• Wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as required.
• Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age
• No high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in similar production line duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred.
• Work experience in other similar industrial, manufacturing, or a production-line environment may
substitute.
• Adherence to company core values at GFB.
