Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division is seeking a Reliability Superintendent for the Wauna Mill in Clatskanie, OR. A strong Reliability Manager is vital in driving reliability improvements and enhancing productivity across the mill. The leader should understand the mill and be accountable for product system results influenced by team performance. Ideal candidates excel in interpersonal and communication skills, constructively challenge for improvement, stay current on best practices, and effectively collaborate and engage with teams.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead and cultivate a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence.
  • Enhance long-term reliability across the product system by prioritizing and developing reliability capabilities in our people, processes, and equipment.
  • Oversee asset strategy development by leveraging innovative technologies, industry trends, and advancements to optimize operations.
  • Oversee the Fixed Equipment/Mechanical Integrity Program.
  • Support operations in closing performance gaps through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Manage up to 15 direct reports, both hourly and salaried to develop asset strategies and build departmental capabilities.
  • Coordinate personnel scheduling and training, and cultivate strong relationships with GP capability teams, including GP NW Regional Reliability, GP Remote Monitoring, and GP Center of Excellence for reliability support.
  • Oversee the KCF remote vibration system with 2950 sensors covering 90% of rotating assets and manage weekly Reliability Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews, Daily Direction Setting, and End of Day meetings.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability and Predictive/Preventive Maintenance.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for direct reports.
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) or similar programs.
  • Experience working with vibration monitoring systems.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associates degree or higher in Engineering.
  • Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance activities using a CMMS.
  • Pulp & Paper experience.
  • Experience using SAP.
