Description:

Develop and direct the merchandising strategy and execution of the Jewelry Merchandise department. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of buyer and/or merchandising experience
- Gemological Institute of America GIA Certified
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Ability to respond to changing business priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach and train
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment
- Strong understanding of industry/technical terms and processes

Desired
- Any experience directing and participating on project teams
- Ability to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: jeweler's loupe, diamond tweezers, gem scope
- 40 WPM typing; 4, 000 SPH ten-key by sight- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Develop and direct divisional merchandise strategies, pricing and standards to maximize sales and profit potential while remaining competitive
- Direct, manage and develop Merchandising team and Diamond & Design team to create business plans that achieve sales, margin and inventory goals
- Oversee the management of merchandise vendor relationships including all agreements and adherence such as the Standard Vendor Agreement (SVA)
- Partner with senior leadership to plan and execute company-wide initiatives
- Complete assortment analyses with each buyer
- Analyze competitive information and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize performance
- Perform retail location inspections to review conditions and merchandising standards, solicit associate feedback
