Description:

Evan Terrace Post Acute is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will work with patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in helping patients regain essential functional skills and improve their overall quality of life during their recovery process.

As an SLP at Evan Terrace, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring communication abilities and enhancing swallowing safety. This position requires a commitment to providing patient-centered care, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for helping individuals achieve greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and functional abilities.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for a wide range of conditions, including aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, cognitive-communication impairments, and more.
  • Work with patients to improve articulation, fluency, comprehension, and expressive/receptive language skills.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and swallowing techniques to enhance safety and independence.
  • Document patient progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and therapeutic techniques in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, as well as treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a post-acute, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
