Description:

Cornell Pump Company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across our subsidiary operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate looking to launch their career and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Location: On-site Clackamas, OR

Salary Range: $48, 000 - $63, 000

          What You'll Do:
          • Perform core accounting functions including journal entries, financial reporting, reserve and forecast analysis, and cost accounting.
          • Lead or support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
          • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and key financial variances (PPV, labor, overhead, production results).
          • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation.
          • Participate in cross-functional teams and special projects.
          • Support automation initiatives to deliver real-time, actionable reporting (Power BI, UiPath).
          • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and costing functions.

          Education and Experience:
          • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Accounting.
          • Familiarity with NetSuite Cloud ERP, Power BI, and Excel.
          • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
          • 0-3 years of accounting experience.
          • Quick learner; technically adept.
