Cornell Pump Company is seeking an Inside Sales Application Engineer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to join our Mining Market team where you'll support customers by helping them select the right equipment, answer technical questions, manage quotes, follow up on leads, and build strong relationships with customers and dealers. You'll also assist with product demos, support larger projects, and collaborate with your team.

Location: Clackamas, OR

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm (one day working remote)

Salary: $60, 000 to $70, 000

What You'll Do:
  • Answer customer questions by phone and email about equipment selection
  • Help customers choose the right pump models using technical information (BOMs, curves, dimensions)
  • Prepare quotes and process sales orders
  • Follow up with leads and existing customers
  • Address technical and business questions or concerns
  • Provide product demonstrations when needed
  • Support and manage larger projects
  • Build strong relationships with dealers, customers, and coworkers
  • Represent the company at dealer events, trade shows, and customer visits (some travel required)

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 1-2 years of inside sales or related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Mining industry knowledge is a plus
