Description:

Cornell Pump Company is seeking a detail-oriented Freight Clerk to join our Accounting team supporting freight documentation, shipment tracking, and freight invoice processing across our distribution operations.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in logistics administration, freight billing, or supply chain coordination who enjoys working with shipment documentation, ERP systems, and cost reconciliation and is looking to grow their career with a stable and growing company.

Location: On-site Clackamas, OR

Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour (DOE)

What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Review bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and purchase orders to verify shipment details with the receiving team.
  • Process freight invoices and enter shipment and billing data into EPICOR and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Maintain organized freight documentation and shipment records for tracking and audits.
  • Reconcile shipping costs with Accounts Receivable invoices and investigate discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment or billing issues.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and support import/export documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and accounting teams to support accurate shipment and billing processes.
  • Review and analyze freight invoices and carrier charges to ensure billing accuracy and track freight costs.

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in freight, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics administration.
  • Ability to read and interpret freight documents, shipping invoices, and bills of lading.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or import/export environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment.
