We are seeking a
Financial Reporting & BI Analyst to join our growing team. This is a dual-function role responsible for producing accurate financial reporting while leveraging data analytics to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise with advanced data analysis, automation, and reporting skills to improve visibility into business performance and drive operational efficiencies.
Location: On-site Clackamas, OR
Salary: $65, 000 to $85, 000 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8: 00 AM - 5: 00 PM
What You'll Do: - Work with multi-operational teams to design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports using tools such as Power BI, UiPath, or Excel Power Pivot.
- Collect, clean, and transform raw financial and operational data for reporting and analysis.
- Partner with IT and business teams to improve data flow, reporting structures, and system integrations.
- Develop KPI frameworks and performance metrics that align with corporate goals.
- Implement automation solutions to reduce manual reporting and increase data accuracy.
- Support Cornell and all its subsidiaries' business decision making process.
- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
- Monitor accounting controls and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Conduct ad hoc accounting tasks and analyses to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, cost reduction, and forecasting.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES: - CPA/CMA or progress toward certification.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environments.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2-5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or BI/reporting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, macros preferred).
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI and UiPath strongly preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
