Accounts Payable Specialist

Consolidated Supply Co., a Pacific NW plumbing, hydronic heating, and water works wholesaler, has an opening at our corporate location in Tigard, OR for an experienced Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist. Family owned and operated since 1928, we have locations throughout OR, WA and ID. We value serving both our internal and external customers.

Job Description:

The A/P Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate payments to vendors. This position maintains accounts for an assigned group of vendors. This includes researching and resolving open items with vendors as well as receiving and/or pricing variances with company personnel. Other primary functions include coordinating check runs, processing direct shipment invoices, reconciling vendor statements and answering vendor inquiries. This is a great position for someone who is curious and enjoys problem solving and contributing in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting related experience in a high volume, computerized accounts payable environment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions.
• Demonstrated ability on an ERP system.
• Experience with EDI invoice processing preferred.
• Candidates must have fast, accurate keyboarding skills and accurate 10-key abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and analyze complexities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet set deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Candidates must be a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic team member.
• Solid Excel skills are required.
