Position Summary The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive pre-operative care, immediate post-operative recovery care, and patient preparation for a safe discharge home. This role requires strong assessment skills, critical thinking, effective communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We are seeking self-motivated, collaborative nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Perform pre-operative assessments, patient education, and surgical preparation.Coordinate and review required pre-operative testing and lab results.Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and discharge planning.Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate findings appropriately.Maintain patient safety and respond appropriately during emergencies.Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and team members.Deliver thorough discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient follow-up.Assist with supply management, equipment readiness, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.Support regulatory compliance, infection prevention and accreditation standards. Qualifications Current Oregon RN license required.Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.PALS certification preferred (required for select positions).Previous PACU, critical care, emergency department, or other high-acuity nursing experience preferred.Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
