Production Team Member

Position Summary Bright Wood is continuously looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our production team. Our Production Team Member positions are entry level opportunities designed for individuals who are ready to learn, work hard, and be part of a team. Previous manufacturing or wood products experience is not required. We provide on the job training and opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the company. This is an evergreen job posting, which means we accept applications on an ongoing basis for current and future production openings. Available departments, schedules, and shifts may vary based on business needs. What You Will Do As a Production Team Member, you may work in different areas of our manufacturing operation depending on your skills, interests, and current openings. Responsibilities may include: Operating or assisting with production equipment Handling, sorting, stacking, inspecting, and packaging wood products Feeding materials into production equipment and removing finished products Inspecting products for quality and identifying defects Following established production procedures and work instructions Maintaining a clean and organized work area Following all safety rules, procedures, and required PPE requirements Communicating with Leads and Supervisors regarding production or safety concerns Working cooperatively with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals Learning additional jobs and equipment as training opportunities become available Performing other production related duties as assigned What We Are Looking For No previous manufacturing experience is required. Successful Production Team Members are individuals who: Have a strong commitment to working safely Are dependable and arrive to work on time and ready to work Are willing to learn and take direction Work well as part of a team Can maintain quality and productivity expectations in a manufacturing environment Are comfortable working in a fast paced production setting Can communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership Are willing to learn multiple jobs and develop new skills Physical and Work Environment Requirements Production positions may require employees to: Stand and walk for extended periods Frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements Lift and move materials consistent with the requirements of the assigned position Work around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery Work in an environment that may include noise, dust, temperature changes, and other conditions typical of a wood products manufacturing facility Wear required personal protective equipment Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law. Schedule Bright Wood operates multiple shifts and schedules. Available schedules will depend on current production needs and openings.
