Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing and leading the maintenance team and maintenance function, plant machinery, rolling stock, and plant sites with an emphasis on leading by example in accordance with Boise Cascade's Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, and Excellence. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Minimum Education and Experience:
BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field is preferred.
Seven (7) years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Three (3+) years’ experience as a supervisor or lead in a maintenance environment is strongly preferred.
A successful candidate will have extensive preventative maintenance experience, as well as demonstrated project management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow-up procedures. Strong leader qualities that supports an environment of total quality; a focus on safety, and a strong desire to facilitate change through continuous improvement in a team environment. Strong knowledge of FM requirements, plant/OSHA health and safety standards and compliance, and a fundamental understanding of applicable governmental/environmental regulations.
