We are seeking:
Supervisor, Peel Region Restored Home and Safer Spaces (1 Year Full-Time Contract)

The Restored Home and Safer Places Program Supervisor for the Region of Peel is responsible for leading a team of cleaners, home support workers and a Mental Health Case worker to assist individuals and families at risk of homelessness due to unsafe, unsanitary and hoarding living conditions. The supervisor will conduct in-home assessments, develop client-centered care plans, and coordinate appropriate wraparound services including extreme cleaning, home support and hoarding intervention services. Additionally, they will provide short-term case coordination ensuring that clients receive the necessary support to maintain safe and stable housing.

This is a full-time contract position that requires travel throughout the Peel Region: Mississagua, Brampton, Caledon including the priority neighborhoods of Cooksville, Port Credit and Malton. #INVHACorp


Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Responding to all inquiries and providing information on VHA’s services, explaining VHA services, and policies.

  • Conducts in-home client visits and completes documentation for service plans.

  • Collects and maintains information on community services for reference of VHA employees, clients and the general public.

  • Ensures that funder targets are met.

  • Completes and update ongoing documentation of client contacts and ensure that client file is kept up to date.

  • Conducting Field Supervision on all clients receiving services.

  • Supervision of Extreme Cleaners, Clutter Coach and Home Support Workers.

  • Participation in Quality Improvement project teams as appropriate.

  • Supporting service outreach development and marketing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in a health-related field, such as Social Work/Social Service, Psychology, Nursing, Addictions Counselling or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience providing case coordination services to clients with mental health concerns.
  • Experience working in homes/community setting, experience with hoarding behavior required.
  • Valid driver’s license and use of a car on the job is a requirement
  • Ability to travel in Peel Region along with occasional travel to Toronto is required
