Pay Range

VHA’s Quality Team has an exciting opportunity for a student who has interest in health-related quality improvement projects. We are looking for bright and energetic individual who will come to work with a positive attitude every day.


We are seeking:

Project Administration Officer - Canada Summer Jobs

Full-Time Contract position – 8/12 Weeks (35h/week)

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Coordination of project logistics
  • Prepare, edit and format documents ensuring accuracy and template compliance – including creating and embedding tables and diagrams, creating charts, graphs, surveys and PowerPoint presentations
  • Development of project charters, and project plans, including Gantt charts
  • Data entry; support the coordination & delivery of quality surveys; supporting data analysis, data reporting, and evaluations
  • Developing project communications, progress summaries and reports
  • Conduct mini-environmental scans and literature reviews to support projects
  • Scheduling meetings/videoconferences

As this role is being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program, the following are eligibility requirements:

  • You are between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (foreign students are not eligible)
  • You are legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
  • You have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Desired Qualifications:

  • In the process of completing a health-related or science degree
  • Recent experience or involvement in a research project/study including data analysis (preferred)
  • Understanding of project implementation and evaluation process (preferred)
  • Good time management and organizations skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-directed, with the ability to both work independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Effective analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to understand key initiatives and deliver results effectively and in a timely manner
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite-Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience and ability to work with confidential information/situations
