Pay Range

OPSEU/VHA Pay Scale Level 5: $26.39 - $31.25 per hour


Reporting to the Financial Systems and Reporting Team Lead, the Billing Coordinator will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable functions for private pay, individual and corporate clients, special projects and integrated services ensuring that all required reporting is completed in a timely manner, and providing financial analysis as needed. This role provides full-cycle accounts receivable functions including collections, account reconciliations and analysis. This position will also provide coverage for Accounting duties in VHA’s subsidiary company.


Key areas of accountability

  • Monitor expiration dates of upcoming contracts · Monitor and reply to customer calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Manage accounts receivable activities such as collections and new customer authorizations
  • Follow up on account invoices, provide customer support with invoice queries, account summaries and reconciliation
  • Generate reports and analysis as needed

Key skills, experience and behaviors required for this position:

  • This position requires a hands-on, well-organized individual with demonstrated ability to manage timelines and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Two to three years working experience in full-cycle accounts receivable accounting in a dynamic environment
  • Strong computer, analytical, creative problem-solving and organizational skills especially with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Superior account relationship building skills – including excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with strong customer service orientation
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential material and sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion
  • Must possess an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fluid and deadline-oriented work environment while being flexible and adaptable, juggling multiple priorities and clients
