As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
What you'll be doingImpact & partnership- Own and communicate the financial performance of assigned business units
- Partner closely with business leaders and sales teams to deliver on growth objectives
- Act as a trusted proxy for the CFO when required
- Provide clear financial and commercial guidance to support strategic decisions
Planning & forecasting- Contribute to the development of short- and long-term financial strategy
- Co-develop monthly and quarterly forecasts with business stakeholders
- Actively support planning cycles (budgeting, forecasting, etc.)
Analysis & reporting- Ensure accuracy, integrity and relevance of financial data (Actuals & Planning)
- Play a key role in the monthly close process and communicate results effectively
- Analyze performance (Orders, Sales, Gross Margin, SFC) and explain variances
- Deliver high-impact ad hoc financial analyses
Collaboration & governance- Work closely with Accounting, FP& A, and local teams to ensure alignment and data integrity
- Support audits, including rebate program reviews
- Promote financial literacy across non-finance stakeholders
Transformation & continuous improvement- Drive finance transformation initiatives
- Support the business in their own transformation efforts
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and business performance
Additional responsibilities- Take on additional finance-related responsibilities within the reasonable scope of the role, with a collaborative and proactive mindset
What you bring- Experience in finance roles such as accounting, audit, financial analysis, or FP& A (typically 8-10 years or equivalent combination of experience)
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an asset, not a requirement
- Strong foundation in financial and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams
- Experience working in a matrixed, international, or complex organizational environment is an asset
- Comfortable using financial systems and tools (e.g., MS Office, SAP, Hyperion, or similar BI platforms)
Solid analytical skills, with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset - Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to take initiative and ownership
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to or support change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to identify opportunities, propose ideas, and help improve processes and ways of working
- Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, with a focus on understanding needs and delivering value
The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $144, 800 - $194, 400 for candidates who are Ontario residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
