Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
You will shape our retail point of sale (POS) product roadmap, working with design, engineering, sales and merchants to deliver impactful, customer-centric experiences. You will shape our growth in the retail space and make a difference for small and medium businesses across Canada.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Product.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Lead others to solve complex problems; use analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions
Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, initiative or service goals
Maximize the value delivered by the product team by ensuring that the product backlog is aligned with customer needs. Lead in complex product delivery (or a group of products) in support of overall goals
Manage all elements of the product life cycle including gathering and creating product requirements, introducing new features and functionality (including determining the appropriate product solution bundle), retiring outdated or redundant features, and providing product support for product launches
Develop solution concepts to address opportunities, gaps and requirements to maintain competitiveness of product offering, consulting on concepts with Technology, and developing comprehensive business cases to support decisions and prioritization
Take accountability for a portfolio of products and the product lifecycle of the entire portfolio beginning from product ideation and following through to product delivery and deployment.
Considered an expert in the product management domain and has knowledge in the relevant business domain
Maintain a high level of transparency and communication through proactive interactions with the product team. Foster relationships with internal partners (Technology, Operations, Partnership teams, Sales, Marketing) to assess partnership opportunities, and ensure the success of the Product roadmap, Product readiness, and product launch
Through demonstrated people leadership, creates a team environment that promotes high performance and achieves a high degree of client satisfaction. Role model's servant leadership by removing impediments to accelerate teams.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 7 years experience working in a product management capacity, managing multiple products through the full product life cycle
Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices and learn/use applicable tools and processes.
Experience in strategic planning, project lifecycle management, portfolio management, compliance, and change management
Collaborate and deliver results cross-functionally. Proficient in managing product processes, engaging/influencing audiences, building relationships, to achieve broader organizational goals.
Knowledge and application of both theoretical and practical aspects of product management, including various product management tools and techniques
Work in teams across the organization with multiple partners and to influence and align others
Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a team or on own
Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business
