WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, in this role, you will support the implementation of digital marketing and fundraising campaigns and initiatives to achieve fundraising and mission goals for Make-A-Wish® Canada (MAWC). This role will contribute to the end-to-end execution of digital marketing efforts for the organization, ensuring we utilize current best practices to maximize our marketing and fundraising efforts.

This role can be based out of any Make-A-Wish Canada office, and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the Senior Digital Marketing Manager in the development, implementation, and optimization of digital marketing and fundraising initiatives for new and existing programs across the organization.
  • Lead the management, implementation, development, testing, and deployment of donor emails, including content gathering & project management, to ensure high delivery, open, and click-through rates. Manage donor lists and segmentation, identify audience overlaps, and resolve them with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and flawless campaign sends.
  • Manage existing donor journeys through email and website content, ensuring timely touchpoints and relevance based on user behaviour.
  • Manage lead generation efforts and lead nurturing journeys, optimizing email and web content to convert prospects to donors.
  • Develop engaging, audience-specific digital content, including SEO-rich blog posts and storytelling pieces to increase brand awareness and drive organic traffic.
  • Work in collaboration with various internal and external online channel partners to enhance organizational business needs and generate revenue.
  • Assist with reporting on email and digital marketing program performance on a regular basis, sharing performance and insights with stakeholders.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training to staff on relevant digital marketing platforms and tools to ensure consistency, efficiency, and confidence in execution.
  • Conduct ongoing research on innovations and best practices related to digital fundraising and marketing.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to Make-A-Wish Canada’s visual identity and web development standards for all digital marketing and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure that all digital marketing and fundraising initiatives adhere to, and are compliant with, CRA, CASL, Privacy, Accessibility, and other relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Related post-secondary education, preferably in marketing and/or online marketing/e-commerce, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of digital marketing experience in executing e-mail marketing campaigns, digital paid ad campaigns (including but not limited to Search, Social, PMAX, video and Remarketing), developing online marketing/online fundraising solutions, and GA4 analysis.
  • Experience in writing high-impact, relevant and engaging content for relevant target audiences that drive conversion and activation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with online data collection, analysis, and report development.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset.
  • Experience working in a large multi-level or non-profit organization an asset.
  • Experience in project and client management an asset.
  • A flexible and adaptable work style, open to collaboration with diverse personalities within a dynamic work setting.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check will be required.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work environment (2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week) with occasional requirement to work outside of traditional office hours.
  • Occasional day and/or overnight travel.

Physical/Mental Effort

  • Work under pressure of tight deadlines, with a high-volume workload, and with multiple demands & changing priorities.
